Pebsteel was founded on November 14, 1994, as a one-stop provider from design and fabrication to installation for pre-engineered buildings and structural steel. For its 29-year history, Pebsteel has grown exponentially, with 7 fabrication facilities in Vietnam and Myanmar, 10+ regional sales offices, and its headquarters in Vietnam. Pebsteel has set its footprints in more than 50 countries, creating landmarks and gaining a reputation for its crafts in the steel building industry for both innovation and deep knowledge and understanding of the customer’s needs.

Throughout the 29-year journey, Pebsteel has taken pride not only in being an industry benchmark but also in its success rooted in committed people of technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The spirit and core values have been demonstrated even in the economic downturn. During the global financial crisis in 1998 and 2008, Pebsteel increased its workforce and provided training to a larger number of individuals. This is a core aspect of our current operations.
Fast forward to 2023, and the market is filled with uncertainties and challenges. However, Pebsteel has come together as a team to adapt to the changing circumstances and continue strengthening its position as a leader in the steel structure-building industry. In the context of businesses facing difficulties and being forced to cut staff, Pebsteel still maintains stability. Pebsteel maintains employee salaries and benefits and continues to focus on R&D and training high-quality human resources.
Although the steel building industry is not immune to the market slowdown, Pebsteel remains optimistic about the market outlook and seizes opportunities to expand its exports. Specifically, Pebsteel’s new office was officially opened in Davao, Philippines, in February 2023. The move is part of our strategy to serve clients in the territory and make a significant contribution to the development of the regional economy in the long run.
Priority is also given to a stable capital position and financial stability. Because Pebsteel has 76 percent European partners and 24 percent Japanese shareholders, banks have a lot of facilities for us. The strong financial standing allows Pebsteel to make large investments.

In particular, Pebsteel pinpoints new opportunities in the renewable energy sector. The global shift to “green energy” sources such as solar energy is in high demand. As the leading brand in the construction industry, Pebsteel needs to bring in more added value in services and solutions that help valued customers accelerate the transition to renewable energy.
To facilitate this goal, a new division named PebSol has been launched to enhance Pebsteel’s capabilities in the solar energy sector. PebSol is involved in solar energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), providing end-to-end services across the whole solar energy value chain. The new function covers everything from project planning and design to installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Pebsteel guarantees international standards in the design and use of the world’s leading equipment brands of PV module inverters and mounting systems (Tier 1, according to Bloomberg’s assessment). This world-class quality allows the solar system to withstand all kinds of extreme weather, is lightweight, and does not harm the roof structure while ensuring high efficiency for maximum performance in energy conversion.
With this new function, Pebsteel is confident that the company can deliver even more value to its clients by providing them with a complete and integrated solar energy solution. This is also a testament to the company’s efforts to provide sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions to facilitate Vietnam’s clean energy transition.
Thanks to its long-term commitment to investing in Vietnam, the manufacturer of pre-engineered steel buildings, Pebsteel, has set foot in almost all parts of the country, with innumerable structures developed as factories for enterprises, especially in industrial parks.
During its 29-year journey since its establishment in 1994, Pebsteel has also made tremendous efforts to support the community, especially to benefit students and underprivileged children. For nearly three decades of operation, the company has always followed the spirit that “there is nothing more meaningful than paying back to society.”
With this spirit in mind, Pebsteel has actively partnered with relevant stakeholders to implement corporate social responsibility activities. Among them, the company has cooperated with several universities in the country to give students majoring in construction access to new technologies in the engineered building field. Pebsteel has regularly organized scientific seminars at universities, such as a recent one at Nguyen Tat Thanh University, to provide students with deep insights into advancements in the areas of construction in general and steel structure engineering in particular.
On September 8, Pebsteel’s representatives joined the opening ceremony of a new school year at Lasan Tan Hung Charity School in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 7 and formally handed over to the school a newly renovated roof built with Pebsteel’s funding. By donating the new roof, Pebsteel hopes to inspire and motivate the school’s efforts in educating students.
On September 29, 2023, Pebsteel collaborated with the VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) to organize the Mid-Autumn festival celebration for disadvantaged children affected by COVID-19 at Binh Tan District Children’s House. The initiative aimed to create a full moon night with vibrant joy and meaning for more than 500 COVID orphans, primarily from impoverished areas such as District 8, Binh Tan, Binh Chanh, and Nha Be provinces.
These initiatives exemplify Pebsteel’s efforts to pay back to the community where it operates. In addition, Pebsteel will also make efforts to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2024.
To mark this important milestone, Pebsteel continues to invest in R&D, train high-quality human resources, and expand export markets. Besides that, Pebsteel focuses on digital transformation by applying software to optimize its processes and shorten procedures. Most importantly, Pebsteel aims for sustainability development, invests in green technology, and offers customers green buildings such as LEED and LOTUS certificates.
All in all, Pebsteel’s focus areas for the upcoming 30th-anniversary milestone include innovation, customer satisfaction, employee well-being, sustainability, and addressing global challenges. Pebsteel will launch a wide range of activities, bringing the story of its unstoppable journey of growing and pushing the boundaries of innovation.
